OM1 AND OM2 FIBER CONNECTORS 1

I have a box of OM2 ST fiber connectors, can I use the OM2 connector on a 62.5 fiber? And can I use an OM1 connector on a 50um fiber? This question is just for fiber runs under 700'

Depending upon the style of connector, the 62.5 micron fiber should not fit into an OM2 connector. The 50 micron will be too small for the OM1 connector. Even if you could get it to work, it would not last, and the connection would be spotty at best.

Spend a little $ and get the right connector for the fiber.
