Old Silent movie style 1

I am running premiere 6.5 I have been asked to create a short film that will look like a silent movie from the 1920's or 30's. I assume I can shoot in sepia mode, but how do i add the scratches to the "film" surface to give it the realistic look?

There are expensive plugins to make clean video look more like dirty film, but P6.5 includes a free version of limited capability that you might want to try first.

Look in the QuickTime Effects.

This plug-in is not included in Premiere Pro, so enjoy while you can !
