Hi, I recently came across a PB multi media system that I am trying to get running again. I opened the case and can't seem to locate the CMOS battery ,I need to replace it so the BIOS will keep the settings I change. This computer is the kind where the monitor sits on top of the case. It has the old CD caddy CD drive and a 3.5 inch floppy. I was gonna do a factory reinstall with the recovery disk. Also it has 1 SIMM slot but no SIMM present. It dows however let me get into to the BIOS and get as far as starting the reinstall, but that's it. I know I'm gonna need a SIMM and Fdisk shows that the Hard Drive is only 125 MB. I'm pretty sure it came with Win 3.11. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Can't say for sure, but the battery is probably soldered on the mainboard. If it is you should have 4Pins close to it for an external battery to connect to. Also you might can go the their website? Might be some information there. Every day above ground is a GOOD DAY!!!

Not all m/B's in the old days had changeable batteries, some were contained inside the clock chip.
It looks like a TTL chip but has large/deep plastic body.
You will need to replace this (if available still) or wire a seperate battery in (3V)
