I work in a large network and one particular issue that has come my way is a W2K machine where WFP keeps prompting the user to supply his credentials so that SFP can replace the files it detects are the wrong versions of the files.
When I look through the eventviewer to see what files it is trying to replace there are a number of files such as imm32.dll, shell32.dll, explorer.exe, etc...
The issue I am having is that the file versions that WFP detects as incorrect versions are the correct versions that he should have when compared to the other systems including my own.
So I am wondering if the client has an old .CAT file and that is what is causing the issue and how to remedy?
Would reinstalling SP3 correct the issue? Is there some way to tell which DLL file is listed in which CAT file?
Cheers
