and above all I'm surprised to see this site still up...

I'm so confused :)

The first one.

All the later ones are related to the cocked up 'update' of late last year, which dilettante has diligently documented for us in this forum over the months.

I'm pretty certain that even the latest cumultive update (VB60SP6-KB957924-v2-x86-ENU.msi), which was supposed to fix everything that they broke with the previous updates is still broken.

I'd use the first one for sure, the SP6B.

Regarding those other items, the jury is still out. Though they relate to security fixes they've sadly broken a number of controls. Badly enough I am still avoiding them myself.

Microsoft used to have a good track record of following up on these problems. A lot of people got burned so badly on the first SP6 that to this day they won't go past SP5. Yet Microsoft seemed to respond with a corrected SP6 in just a few months. Then SP6A and now this SP6B seem solid in my experience though.

Man do I hate day trips...

(I already knew it was SP6B but if you search ms.failure you get all those results with that information that I was trying to point out is incorrect)

So a start for both so all know which one to go after.

I think the other updates are post-SP6 security fixes. Since they require SP6 first the related narrative probably mentions SP6. This is probably why they turned up in your searches.
