Offsite backup via VPN?

Hello,
I just have a quick question about the functionality of NetBackup vs Backup Exec or any of the other VERITAS products.

Currently we back up files from NT server nightly to tape.

I want to do the same thing, except to an external IP address (via VPN tunnel) for offsite backup. Will NetBackup support this? If not what product will?

What type of connection (throughput) do you have over the VPN tunnel?? It may not be feasible to try to capture the data across the net. Perhaps locally attached tape drive would be more feasible.
