i have installed an additional Exchange 2000 server with AD and DNS, i moved all working accounts from one server to another.
Then all of a sudden al mailbox became offline, now my only options are reconnect or purge. And purge is not an option.
When i hit reconnect i get
'the operation cannot be performed because this mailbox was already reconnected to an existing user'

then
'the object has not been replicated to the destination server yet. Wait for a replication to complete and try again.'
Operation:Updating Mailbox Resources on server 'MYSERVER'
ID no:c1031731
Exchangte System Manager

thanks

The mailboxes are disconnected, that's what the red X is. Try running the cleanup agent first, then reconnecting.

run that. i dont see anything happening when y run the cleanup
then try to reconnect the same error.

'the object has not been replicated to the destination server yet." refers to AD replication of the new attributes on the user object.

"i have installed an additional Exchange 2000 server with AD and DNS, i moved all working accounts from one server to another."

If DNS is installed on a DC, and the DC points to itself for DNS, you likely have a DNS island and AD replication is not working. This happens because netlogon, which registers the SRV revords for the DC on startup, comes up before DNS when the server boots. In fact, "'the object has not been replicated to the destination server yet" tells me that the attributes have not yet replicated. Restart the netlogon service. This will register the missing SRV records. Wait for replication, and try it again.

i have 4 days with this issue and i have restarted and left the server alone for hours, and i keep getting same problem.
This additional server is also a DNS server and DC also.
so i guess i should not have problems with sycronization.

anything else?
thanks

Happy New year by the way
