Offline Folders

Hi,

I am trying to use offline folders for sync from XP Pro desktop (Master) to XP Pro laptop for business. Seemed to be working fine but now some files don't sync. When I right click on the folder on the laptop and select make files available offline, I get an error when it starts to try and sync. The error is "Unable to make file/folder available offline. More data is available"

I tried increasing the cache but to no avail. Any ideas?

Thanks for the response bcastner.

I thought that initially too but it is actually all folders that are not synchronising. I have put your string in there. still getting the "more data is available error".

Any other thoughts??

I suspect Briefcase a better bet. The presumption under Offline folders is that you are connecting to an always on LAN server.

Your model seems different in important ways.

Thanks for the suggestion bcastner. I tested briefcase on one folder but it asks all these questions when it gets to dbf files and wants to know which is master file etc.

It is a shame offline sync does not work properly because it is just the type of thing I need. I might need to look at a commercial product or simply go back to a batch file and xcopy :-(
