I am in the process of making a custom MST file with the Office 2000 Resource Kit Custom Installation Wizard. I am up to page 14 of 17. I see that I can customize outlook for the username and Exchange Server settings. But... I do not want to do this. I don't want to hardcode this information into the MST since this MST is going to be use on another domain (and different exg servers). So I imported the Office9.adm and Outlook9.adm files. I do not see anywhere to set the username and exchange server?!?!

Does anybody have any ideas?

thanks,
Matt

If you dont need to customize such an info in OffCustWizard - just leave the fields blank.
regarding usernames and exch srv's names - use newprof.exe file with the .txt answer file. Thus you will be able to generate o2k profile for each user. No problem. I'm currently using such a config.

good luck

so do you use "newprof profile.txt" in a logon script? Or what? It just seems to me that this should be a group policy. (but that would make my life easy).

Thanks,
Matt

that's right. in a script.
IE can be managed by default through GP.
