I recently upgraded from 40g to 80g hard drive and everything seems to have copied over using MaxBlast3 except my MS Office 2000 programs have lost some useful elements. Their icons are gone from the desktop (Windows XP). Outlook doesn't receive and deliver mail.

I attempted to uninstall and reinstall, but the pointers for installation in the registry seem to have corrupted and I get a message that the "patch" on the setup disk (DATA1.MSI) is not available, even though it's there.

Word and Excel work as before. Outlook Express works. But Outlook doesn't. I can't uninstall it or "detect and repair" it. Advice welcome. --Steve Board

Mayby you should try the eraser from M$, this a sort of an office clean out, and then you could reinstall office2K.

Check out download.microsoft.com and search for keyword: eraser
