I've stepped into an office that has a couple dozen Dell PC's across the board, all relatively new, same model, etc. They've got all the CD's that came with each PC including the winXP Pro CD's and the Office XP Pro CD's. The Office CD's came in white carboard jackets labeled "Do not lose this case" and the Product Keys on the back.
If the time ever came to reinstall everything on a single PC, say, for example a hard drive died, wouldn't I have a problem with activation if I reinstall Office XP with the wrong key. Of the two dozen Office XP CD's I have, I don't know which key was used on which PC. Do I need to go to each PC and look up the Office key used on that machine? Or is activation not an issue with the version of OffXP that ships with Dells?
