Office Upgrade

Not sure if this is the correct forum, the network I administer has a couple of 2003 servers (both dc's) and 50 XP Pro clients, with Office 2000 installed manually ie not through GPOs.

Im looking to upgrade the Office apps to 2003, can this be done ok with GPO's, yet still retain the 2000 configurations ?

I am very comfortable with using GPOs to install software etc..
