Hi
Quick query ,
Environment is Windows 2000 Pro sp4 running Office 97.
Problem is this :
If I double click on a word document either it opens up in word, which is what I expect it to do.
But
At the very top of the word window where it normally displays "Microsoft Word - qwerty.doc", (qwerty.doc being the correct name of the document) it just displays
"Microsoft Word - Document 1" which is incorrect.
If I right click on the document and select open it displays it as "Microsoft Word - qwerty.doc" which is how I want it to.
If I open up word and then use the "File, Open " command to open the document, it displays
"Microsoft Word -qwerty.doc" which is correct.
Anyone know why it doesn't display correctly when I double click on the document.
I have checked the file associations and (*.doc) files are set to open with "Winword.exe /n"
I am stumped , don't know where to start on this one .
Any help much appreciated.
