Hi guys,

I'm trying to define a standard Workgroup Templates location in Word 97 for all at our company.

I have installed the .adm file into Administrative Templates in Group Policy Editor, but none of the settings are configurable. Once you get the the bottom container there is just nothing to configure on the right hand side. The Office 2k template has configurable options so I just can't work out why Office 97 does not work.

Figured it might be because the template was not written with Win2k and AD in mind. Tried writing my own using the MS guide, but get the same thing.

Here's the text -

-----------------------------------------------------------

CLASS USER

CATEGORY !!Comp
KEYNAME Software\Microsoft\Office\8.0\Common\General
CATEGORY !!Word97Tmpl
KEYNAME Software\Microsoft\Office\8.0\Common\FileNew\SharedTemplates
POLICY !!WrkGrpTmpPath
PART !!WrkGrpTmpPath EDITTEXT
VALUENAME ""
EXPANDABLETEXT
END PART
END POLICY
END CATEGORY ; Word97Tmpl
END CATEGORY ; Comp

[Strings]
Comp = "My Companies Custom Policies"
Word97Tmpl = "Microsoft Word 97 Workgroup Templates"
WrkGrpTmpPath = "Network Path to Workgroup Templates"

------------------------------------------------------------
Any ideas, or anyone have a working template file? PLEASE?!
