office 2k problems

I've recently upgraded my P.C from 98 to 2k.
I created a seperate restricted user on the P.C for my daughter.
Now when she tries to access her WOrd docs it fails with a permission, doc type error.This is also true of excel etc.

Any ideas.
I have tried to give her admin rights but still get error in this user.
I can get to these from my accout and fully open all msoffice docs etc.

What i've missed or do i need a complete re-install of office. I only upgrade on top of 98 and have not touched office since!

It could be a permissions issue, try to reinstall office on top of the existing install. Make sure you are administrator when you do it.

Please clarify:

You've upgraded OFFICE 97 to OFFICE 2000 (there is no such thing as Office 98)

- or -

You had Office 2000 the whole time and have upgraded your OS from WINDOWS 98 to WINDOWS 2000
