I have installed Office 2k (upgrade) on my Toshiba laptop. I choose "Custom Install", as I needed to keep both versions of Office on my machines. I renamed the default folder for Office 2k to "C:\Program Files\Office 2k". I choose to install all features in Access including "Additional Wizards". Installation and registration appeared smooth. After completion, I can open Access 2k and I do not have "Convert Database" or "Linked Table Manager" in the Tools/Database Utilities menu. I have tried all I know to fix the problem by removing and reinstalling with no results. I have search the web for similar problems with no results. This is not the normal "wizards not working" problem. The utilities mentioned are not in the menu choices.
I installed (using same CD) on my desktop machine using the same choices as the laptop installation and everthing is OK.
Has anyone encountered this strange problem. If so, how did you overcome it?
