Office 2003 - Word saving .dot

Cannot save a *.dot due to restrictions on this computer.

I presume this is a policy restriction?

Have you tried saving to different locations? Such as your "My Documents" or a network share you have read/write access to?

Yes, that certainly could be a possibility. Word's default folder to save .DOT files to may be restricted for you, by policy. Try saving it to a different location.
