I have Outlook setup to check 2 gmail accounts and a yahoo account. all were working fine until I decided to format my hard drive and reinstall the OS and necessary programs. Now outlook will not send anything through either of the gmail accounts, yahoo still works fine. I can receive email fine through both. When I go into the account setup area of outlook and test the settings, all succeed except for the sending test email, it always fails. I backed up the account settings before I formatted and imported them after and also tried setting the gmail accounts up from scratch. I also set up the 2 gmail accounts in outlook express and they both worked fine, i have disabled the windows firewall and norton so it appears to be an Outlook problem.
