Office 2000 Automatic shutdown after 2 seconds!

Morning all.

I have installed office 2000 onto a machine, but once i open up any one of the office modules, be it Outlook or Excel or word, the app opens but 2 seconds later it shuts itself down, can anyone please tell me how to overcome this problem?

Your help is greatly appreciatted.
