I need some help please............
Brother set up a laptop for me. It runs on Windows 2000. It has Office 97 installed. I installed Office 2000 on it. I've beeen getting error messages in Word (everytime I try to save a file) that say: "winword.exe has caused an error and the application will be closed". After reading many posts all over the interent, I'm thinking it might have something to do with Office 97 running on Windows 2000.
Prior to my conculsion that it must be a confict between the two, I uninstalled and reinstalled Office 2000 several times. I've also "repaired" Office 2000 several times.
I have now, once again, uninstalled Office 2000 and was attempting to uninstall Office 97. I have an Office 97 CD but there is no uninstall option on it that I can find. When I go to "add/remove programs" Office 97 is not there.
My next step would be to fully reinstall Office 97 to see if it will show up in the "add/remove programs" but I don't know if that is the right thing to do.
--- I'm NOT very computer literate but do the best that I can.
Any assistance would be GREATLY appreciated!!!!
Thanks
