I know Microsoft state that a lost identitiy password renders the identity, and therefore, the data associated with that identity, unrecoverable. But they say that this is because 'it wouldnt be right' (not their words) for a Micrsoft support professional to do it. Surely than, that doesnt mean it can't be recovered. Has anyone managed to retrieve or reset a lost identity password? Does anyone know where such a password is kept? Registry, dbx file, pwl file perhaps?
I have a client who has lost a lot of their church contact data because someone set a password on their identity in their absence. They are using Windows 98, any help would be greatfully appreciated!

Thanks
