Odd and even page numbering

In Canada, where I come from, we often have to produce long documents in two languages. Rather than change the page number from page to page, it is easier to create two documents and collate the pages later. Here is the problem.

In document one, you need to have the header or footer page numbering go 1, 3, 5, and so on. In document two, you need to have the page numbering go 2, 4, 6, and so on.

Can anyone show me how to do this? Not being the most advanced WordPerfect user, I need step-by-step instructions. Merely saying something like, "Create a macro," will not help.

You might acheive the same result in one of two ways;

1- In doc 1 leave every even numbered page blank, in doc 2 every odd numbered page (and of course omit page numbering on the blank pages (that could be tedious).

2- Number pages in Doc 1 as F1, F2, F3... (for French) and in Doc 2 as E1, E2, E3... (for English).

And a suggestion: French text is usually longer than its English equivalent; so try to keep the same text in each language on facing pages, even if you have to leave a lot of blank space in the English version. That way the reader can see both versions at the same time, in case he/she does not understand one, the other is readily available...

Some of our texts of law here in Quebec are like that...

While this will work, I would prefer that there would be no blank pages. What do you do if you are at the bottom of a page, your text is justified and the paragraph is not finished? How do you get the paragraph to be be flush left and right?
