I need help. I have a new Win XP computer and installed CR 8.5. On my older PC, I was developing reports accessing our SQL backend. No problem accessing my tables.

On this new machine, I got an 'SQL Server Error 18456' ODBC SQL Server Driver Login Failed

What is missing in my installation?. I have already setup a data source on my ODBC setup.

Thanks

Perhaps you have a new user ID that isn't on the SQL Server?

This generally means that the ODBC connection is invalid, try testing the connection through Access or Excel, I think that you'll learn that it's USER/PW based, not CR.

I have a similar question. I'm getting the same error 'SQL Server Error 18456' on my Access Database. The reason I'm getting this is because it's using a trusted connection, instead of prompting for the username/password. I want to skip this part about using trusted connection.

Thanks
