ODBC connection

Is there a way to limit an ODBC connection to a specific application? While using our application the user needs read, write, delete, etc. rights to the database. But, I don't want them to have those rights when using another application to access our database. Does anybody know a way to prevent this?

Any help will be greatly appreciated!
