I am using Crystal 8.5.

The amount of data returned in one of my subreports is causing the GF1 to be on a page by itself with a lot of blank area. Furthermore, since the subrepor is in the details section it is causing various other problems. The problem is if I change to format so that the subreport can not grow if I limit the amount of rows that can be displayed, some of the data that needs to be displayed will be missing.

Any other thoughts on how to get around this?

Thanks

I use CR 8.5 with subreports in the detail section that spans pages so I am not sure why you are experiencing that problem.

The only thng I can think of is that total of your top margin, bottom margin, page header, group headers, group footers and page footers exceeds the page size.

Also how is your subreport formatted? is the report header and report footer suppressed? What is the size of the group headers and footers?

I have used subreports as well. The problem, I think, is that the group header also spans pages.

Yes the headers and footers in the subreport are supressed.

I think it is the size of the headers, footers, etc, in the main report in conjunction with the size of the resulting subreport that is causing the problem. My issue is trying to fix it with all the other information that is going on with the report.
