I updated some information on a Visual FoxPro Database table in MS Access and now I'm trying to export the updated table back to Visual FoxPro by:

Export, "Save as type: OBDC Databases", "Export RES1100 to: RES1100 in OBDC databases", "Machine Data Source: Visual FoxPro Database", "Configure Connection Path: f:\datafile", "List files of type: Foxpro tables"

When I hit okay I get this error message

"OBDC--call failed.

[Microsoft][OBDC Visual FoxPro Driver]Field name is a duplicate or invalid. (#712)
".

I have a number of tables that I have to update and save back in the FoxPro format and they all have the same fields on them.

Does anybody know a work around?

Thanks

it sounds to me like Access is trying to create another copy of the table in the FoxPro database. Couldn't you just link to the FoxPro database and make the changes to the data that way? Terry M. Hoey
