Hi, does anyone know how to setup my Nortel 6140 phones to recieve or send text messages? I read somewhere that the 2245 or 2246 controller (with OAI, open application interface) would allow for the phones to send and receive text messages. I'm running 4.5 on my CS1000m, and have the wireless phones working great, but people want to send messages to the phones or from the phones. Is this possible? Let me know, thanks!

You need to use some type of middleware app to send the messages. All the 2246/OAI does is interface between the wireless phones and the application that sends the messages. Globestar makes software that will do what you're looking for, as well as quite a few of the nurse call systems that are out there.
