I am currently matching a variable successfully:

$tempvar =~ /$fold/o

EXCEPT! I need the match to be case insensitive, which I read is done by . But doing the following doesn't work:

$tempvar =~ /$fold/o

Any ideas on how to combine the 2 kinds of pattern match?

[ignore]this should work
$tempvar =~ /$fold/io;
not sure how you had it, but the forum thought you did the TGML tag for italics . Try surrounding your code with
Code:
tags in the future.[/ignore] ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
...but I'm just a C man trying to see the light
