NVRAM Cartridge Rel:02 Question 7.0 Upgrade

Getting ready to go 5.0XC to 7.0XC. Will be using upgrade tool to go from 5.0XC to 6.1XC first, then 6.1XC to 7.0XC. Current NVRAM says NNTM48602520, 2001/03/08, NTBB08GA-93, REL:02, 2003-09

Just verifying that this NVRAM cartridge is correct so I won't lose PRI codes to a system ID change. I will back up as always, just triple checking befor next weeks upgrade.

Oh, one more thing.....Call Pilot 150 is 1.5.32.01 software version. Is this going to work on 7.0XC Software or do I need to upgrade this as well?

Call Pilot needs to be upgraded to 3.0 before you upgrade the phone system to 7.0.

You have a release 02 NVRAM cartridge so you should be good to go with the R7 upgrade.

don't panic if it's not up in 10 minutes. I have seen it take up to 30 minutes before the system came up when upgrading to RLS 7.

I'm confused, I thought you only need the latest Upgrade Tool to jump from 5.0 to 7.0? therfore do not need 6 software?

I have a spare 6.1XC so I am going 5.0XC to 6.1XC then to 7.0XC From what I have read so far, this is only way to not lose system ID and PRI codes. Can anyone confirm? I was also told from my vendor that if I go this route, no upgrade tool is needed....again....anyone confirming will appreciate it!

I have not tested this but yes it should work.

Yes it will work with out the tool, it's either or but not both.

You need to be at 6.1 with R2 sleeve to not need the upgrade tool.

Thanks to all! I upgraded the CP150 to 3.0. I'll probably upgrade the MICS this weekend. Thanks again, I'll let you know how it goes!
