NVidea Desktop Management

Can someone please tell me what this is and if it is needed? If not, how to rid my computer of it. I noticed it only after I downloaded a new driver from their website (which messed up my machine - see Blue Screen of Death). It doesn't seem to do anything necessary, but I wanted to check with the *experts* here in the forum! So watcha think???

It's mainly for gamers, so they can tweak the video settings to their current games likings...
It ought to be removable from AddRemovePrograms in Control Panel.
Looked there for it?
