NuPoint - Call into your mailbox and press * issue

Hi Guys,

I'm setting up a simple Auto Attendant on a mailbox using Call Director on the latest NuPoint on vMAS6. I am at the point of recording the prompts but when dialing into the mailbox the option to press * is not recognised and Mrs NuPoint moans at me.

The mailbox has the correct FCOS option (292) assigned to it and I have updated the Call Director database through the console as well.

I know I can import the recordings but I would like to get this part working as well.

It might be really simple but I can't think what else to try.

You press * AFTER logging into the mailbox

Thanks for your reply. I managed to locate another thread that explained the bit I was missing:


Needed to setup a line group specifically for call director functions. I thought that as it wasn't on a line and just a mailbox it wouldn't need a line group. I was wrong.

Ah, thats a little clearer, I wasn't getting that you were setting up greeting for the line group.

If you'd mentioned MB 998 it would have been clearer.
