Hi All, we run a Definity G3 R8.1 and an Intuity Audix system.

Ok, I have set the coverage path for an extension to ring 5 times. I get 3 rings and then go to the second point which is voice mail. The extension is exported (no port) and so automatically goes to coverage. The first point is a cover answer group that rings several phones at once, then the second point goes to voice mail. Users initialy get to this extension via a transfer from the voice mail system through an auto attendant.

So my question is why do I get 3 rings instead of 5 like I set the cover path to do? Is it because I am coming from an auto attendant to the extension? Or is it because I am ringing a cover answer group?

Thanks for your help,
Frank

The number of rings is for the call going to a real station and only for that first ring seqence. Any number of rings on the rest of the points of coverage are a system wide amount in the 'change system coverage" or 'change system features'. If u had a newer system u could change the amount of subsequent rings when going down the path.

We run a DEFINITY G3 with Intuity Audix.
I am new to this.
How do you set the number of rings an extension will ring before it goes to coverage.
