NTVDM KERNEL: Missing 16-bit system module

I get a message window titled NTVDM KERNEL: Missing 16-bit system module and the message is Please re-install the following module to your system32 directory: COMM.DRV. I have been unable to fix this and have been told I need to re-install the OS. Is there a better solution?

Does the file exist on the harddrive? If not you can restore the file from your w2k CD. Get into dos and EXPAND COMM.DR_ C:\winnt\system32\comm.drv

As a precaution I would scan the system for viruses aswell.
