Hello everyone!
I have a serious problem: my file ntoskrnl.exe is corrupted.
I don't have it on the backup. I have a PDC on the NT.
Can I just overwrite this file with extracted from I386 on the CD?? Can I lose some information?

Great thanks for the answer!

Pig,

Check this link out and see if it helps.

The above is assuming one of two things - New Disk or altered partitions or Linux.

If you copy the file (as the above suggests) it doesnt tell you what remifications may come to play. Use at your own risk however if your stuck how bad could being unstuck and having the restore backup files to reproduce anything be?
