HI there

On my thinkpad laptop running windows NT 4 sp6 I often get a blue screen of death in the NTISKRNL.exe. THis ONLY happens when connecting as workstation only ( novell client). I have tried re-doing the profile to no avail.

Any ideas?

thanks

Can you log in at all? If so uninstall and then reinstall the novell client.

If you can't log in then you can bypass the Novell client which will enable you to log in using the MS login box. To do this you'll need to boot into DOS (via a DOS boot disk if it's a FAT partition or you'll need a utility such as NTFSDOS or ERD Pro if it's NTFS) then rename nwgina.dll to nwgina.old & msgina.dll to nwgina.dll. Reboot and you'll get the MS login instead of the Novell client. Login, uninstall the Novell client, reinstall it and all should be fine.
