I just finished an HP System Recovery. The dialog box told me that the recovery was complete and click ok for the system to restart. I clicked ok and the hp blue screen came up but then a black screen came up and said, NTLDR is compressed. Press Ctl+Alt+Del to restart. I pressed Ctl+Alt+Del to restart but the system does not start and comes back to the same error message; NTLDR is compressed. Press Ctl+Alt+Del to restart. What do I do???

Run recovery again?
Have you a standard XP install disk? - if so you could lod recovery console and copy ntldr from \i386 on the install disk to the root of C: - see if that improves matters.
