The only difference I know of is one concerning what they call "File Child Delete" which is there for POSIX compliance. Basically it means that if a user has Full Control to a folder, but only Read Access to a subfolder, he can delete the subfolder. Kinda wierd.
If the user is given custom RWXDPO to the upper folder instead of Full Control, then this issue doesn't exist.
Bottom line - who cares? It has never been an issue in my experience.
