Hi All,
I have a computer here with a 40GB drive. When booted ntldr missing error halts the boot process.
I am trying to get information from the friend of a friend who gave this to me as to its history so I am not sure what OS is loaded (upgrades ext)the drive is partioned C: and D:
C: 18GB 9MB FREE (can not access any directories)
D: 20GB 16GB FREE Labeled Storage (can not access any directories)
I have tried the recovery console using windows 2000 and tried manually repairing using the automated repair option.
When in the command console the drive does not have a system directory and gives and error: access denied when trying to change directories. The main part ion only has 9mb available. I used the logon command and it does not prompt for a password. No windows 2000 system files are recognized when using the recovery console either.
What I assume is the system partition does not have a winnt or windows directory listed. I will post more information as I get it. Thanks in advance for any help
