NTBACKUP problem

we moved files from a Windows 2000 server to a SNAP server by backing up to a file and restoring to the new location. It seems as though all the JPEG and GIF files were hosed, no errors were reported.

When I open an image file from the new location with a hex editor, it is nothing but 00's

Anyone seen this before?
