Hello all,
I am trying to run NTbackup on a 2000 DC.The object is to backup a file from another server in the domain to a workstation also in the domain. The folders are mapped on the DC and if I start a once only backup job by hand everthing works ok but if i schedule the backup to proceed during the night then the backup fails with the report log shown here :
----------------------------------------------------
Skipped files in "NT\NTBackup\data\anothertest.bks" folder. Folder not found.
Backup Status
The operation was not performed because the specified media cannot be found.

----------------------------------------------------

Report is clear enough but
I dont understand why it works when I start it directly.
Surely if it cant find folder when scheduled it shouldent find folder ever??

Anyone any ideas please

Thanks
Gary

Gary,

I am having a simular problem between NT Servers on a domain, between a PDC and BDC. When I run the command manually, it's smooth as silk, when I schedule via AT I get a error about permissions. The remote drive is mapped, and I am trying to backup the mapped drive. My permissions are correct on both servers. It's been bugging me, but I plan to resolve it shortly. Please let me know if you find anything.
