I'm having no end of problems with backup and the removable storage manager:
I have a 4 week rotation schedule set up, and the backups appear to work fine. However, if I try to read from the tapes to check them in restore (or if I do actually want to restore something), one of 2 things happens:
1) It reports that it cannot read the set list from the media, then the drive marks itself as dirty (even though it's a brand new tape, and even if I have just cleaned the drive), or
2) It doesn't recognise the tape, and in the removable storage manager, it has put it in the 'free' pool under a new label. >:-<
The second problem happens a lot, sometimes even when I just insert an already labelled tape from my backup rota.
Does anyone know what's going on? <--"Didn't your code work? You must have made a mistake when you pasted it." - Mark Hazen-->
