Is there a quick way of testing an NT5D33 LE1 using a one of the many available LE1 interface in the market without costing a bundle?

My company repairs Nortel hardware and we recently received LE1 cards for repair, we have done as far as running the internal test via MMI and they all passed. We would like to find out if the ports will fail on a valid call using a simplified test rig that can originate and receive calls and possibly monitor the progress during setup/tear-down.

Thanks

connect two back to back to a cot e1 card, the line side programs as analog stations, the far end programs as trunks.. will let you dial thru for a test.. works clean with t1 line side.. e1 should be the same except 30 channels/ 2 meg, not 24/1.54

Thanks, i will definitely try your suggestion...
I need to get hold of a COT E card first, any idea if this card is readily available in the market and the PEC code if its not too much to ask? I will start searching for this card now.

We finally got hold of 2MB DPRI card NTCK43 and install it on an option81, we were told by the vendor that this card can be program as COT and connect one end to the NT5D33 LE1 interface (P2) using an NT5D35AA cable.

After programming the Rout/Trunks as COT with DGTP=DTI2, the channels are in DSBL state. The loop is enabled but all 30 channels on the E1 are disabled and the 30 channels on the LE1 card are in BUSY state.

Do you have a sample configuration we can follow to make this works? i understood that you use a T1 instead of E1, i agree that it should work also on E1.

First of all, is this card correct or we need a 2Mb or 1.5Mb DTI card instead?

Thanks

So the carrier comes up but the channels don't? Correct? Is it possible you need a T-1 crossover cable? I don't know much about the E1 cards but it should operate similar to the T-1 cards and If I'm connecting a line side T-1 card to a T-1 card then I would need a crossover cable.

I decided to replace the existing Dual PRI with an NT5D97 DTI/PRI card and all channels are now idle. i might need help in setting up the ABCD bits as i can not establish calls to or from the LE1 using an M3904 phone, i can only go as far as dialing the route access code and the DTI channel goes into a lock out state.
I did try modifying a few parameters for the outgoing ABCD bits on the Meridian, but no joy...

A back to back TIE trunk works using this card and the default ABCD bits though...

Has anyone tried connecting an E1/T1 back to back with a Lineside E1/T1 and successfully establish a call? I would appreciate your guidance or a copy of the setup if possible.
