Hello friends:

I have a question regarding migrating users from an NT4 domain to Win2003 Server. We currently have 2 domains - one domain has just 1 PDC (NT4 server), and the other domain has Win2003 server running, but in non-native mode so that 2 other BDC's (NT4 server) can still be used. What we want to do is to move all of the users off of one domain and completely shut that domain down so that EVERYONE is on one domain.

I looked at Microsoft's migration tool, and it seems like that's EXACTLY what I need. However, when I attempted to migrate the users, Win2003 server told me that the operation could not be completed because the domain was not running in native mode (because of the NT4 server BDC's still present).

We're just not ready to pull the plug and move the domain over to native mode yet, but would still like to migrate users. Is there any way to do this while still running in native mode?

I'd be grateful for your feedback. Thanks!

Take care,
Michael.
