NT4 driver not accepted for shared HP LaserJet2100

On our Windows Server 2003, acting also as print server, I installed amongst others the HP LaserJet 2100 PCL6.
The driver that is natively installed is not working for NT4 workstations, so using the Sharing tab, I want to provide Additional drivers.
However when checking the "x86 Windows NT4.0" entry, and pointing to the c:\lj288 directory, I obtain an error message :
"Windows cannot locate a suitable printer driver. Contact your administrator for help locating and installing a suitable driver."
The administrator is ME !
And I tried also pointing the drivers from the HP original driver CD provided with the printer, but same problem.

Anyone ran into this problem before ?
(For a Ricoh Aficio 350 print-copier combination, the same procedure worked fine ...)

I've come across this but with a LJ4000 printer.. no idea why though! ive not really bothered looking for reasons why, as I just used another machine to be the print server!
(not much help, but have you tried looking on MS site?)

Well, I've solved this problem by a work-around. As it is an HP printer connected to a JetDirect, I downloaded the HP Install Network Printer Wizard for NT4 from their site, and installed this wizard on the workstation.
Then, running this wizard, I selected the printer (you can also specify by IP-address), and had to provide the driver.
This time however, the driver was installed from C:\lj288 without any further problem.
Looks like the problem is really with the 2003Server not recognizing the NT4 driver for HP LaserJet 2100.
