nt4 doesn't let me repair using workstation cd

hi, i have a page fault when i try booting up the system... am tryin to do a repair using the nt worksttion cd but it doesn't let me.. says press escape to repair then says press enter to try again.. jus dont let me repair....

any ideas why or how i can fix the page fault problem soe other way?

Have you got an ERD to show to the repair process (if not, then in my experience, NT only finds system to repair c. 50% of the time - and it looks like yours is one of wrong 50).

When you say you have a page fault - have you any history on this? (eg, when it started, any hardware/software changes, major crashes, viruses etc beforehand)
btw - when does it display page fault (eg, can you try last known good config before it does this)?

If you've got access to another machine, you could try mounting drive as slave and running chkdsk on it (and back up any data you need).

You may have to reinstall to overcome this (but history would be good - it may be a hardware - eg RAM - issue).
