I have a laptop with NT workstation on it. I want to put Win 95 on it instead. Is there an easy way to install Win 95 over NT. Win 95 setup will not run under NT

If you are wanting to run 95 only, I would suggest you backup the user data and fdisk/format the drive and install fresh.

If you want to dual boot, the first primary partition must be FAT16. The partiton you are installing 95 on must be FAT16 or FAT32 (OSR2+). If so, you should run rdisk in NT to get a current repair disk. You should then boot up with a boot disk that enables the Cd-rom. You can install 95. Once complete you should run NT setup choosing repair and select repair boot sector(mbr). This should provide you with a menu when booting allowing you to boot either OS.

dxd
