Hi hope someone has an insight to my annoying problem,
I get an error message when printing from server or workstation to a network printer as follows.
"printer driver busy another software application is using the printer. cancel printing and wait until the other software program has finished. Try printing again."
When i use the HP toolbox to print a test page no probs, but with other apps (esp Publisher) i get the above message.
When i reboot the server (hard to do in this small LAN) the problem goes away for a day or three.
Q1. Is there a way to check what apps are accessing the printer??
My tech support is hopeless and suggested new drivers(whoa lateral thinking..), but nothing.
HP suggests changing the spool data format from RAW to EMF but again narda.
Any help appreciated, can up the good work.
