Here's the lowdown...

I have a server that used to be a part of a domain. The DC, for some reason, has been removed. The server I have is a NT Server 4.0. There a few data files that need to be taken off this server.

I believe I have a correct username/password for the local machine...however, the local machine is not available under the "domain" section of the logon screen. Can anyone tell me why this is, or if there is away around this?

Again, the "domain" section lists several domains, but not the local machine itself.

Thanks for your assistance

That's pretty strange. Are you sure the server was not setup as a BDC? If you really need to access to the server, try installing a parallel copy of NT 4.0 on the server and boot into that.
