I have an NT server on a network of 10.10.6.x. I look in my license manager and see other clients from other networks in there taking a license and in turn are taking up my licenses. I revoke them and 3 days later they reappear. We are all on the communicating with each others networks but we are subnetted through routers. Any help greatly appreciate Jimmy

Err, anyone making a connection to your server will consume a license. It's simply the way it works, regardless of what subnet you're on. [auto] MCSE NT4/W2K

well thats just it they are not making a connection to that server. they have their own servers where they make the connections to. there are no resources on the server that they need to get but are showing up there, some clients do and some don't. so thats the dilemma Jimmy

Are you all on the same domain?
Are these clients referencing that server for WINS or DNS or something?
Are those clients connecting to it as their logon server?

There could be any number of reasons their PCs are connecting to that server, even though it's not "local". [auto] MCSE NT4/W2K

No we are not on the same domain.
We are not using wins to reference.
they are using dns to reference us.
no they are not connecting to it as their logon server.
