if i have a directory in my web protected by NT security through IIS, how can i pass the logon information directly to IIS to avoid being prompted for a logon...i would rather not use advanced security in coldfusion...is there an alternative to doing this...?

thanks in advance

Pass what logon information? If someone hasn't logged on, there is no logon information.

ktucci,

only if your users are logged into the domain that the Web server is a member of, and only in a LAN. NTLM doesn't work well over the Web; at the very least you'll always be prompted.

I got tired of administering thousands of users in NT. I went to a database-driven security model. Lock down your areas to administrators and the CF service user account, and go from there.
